Good old Monte Burch

Monte Burch's Bible: Far more useful than a 2-day log building course and 2 engineering degrees. That's why we took such good care of it.
I suppose it's a terrible condemnation of my upbringing that nothing scares me much as long as a good book has been written about it. If I see a book with the words "The Complete Guide to Building Log Homes" on the cover then I think that I can build a log home, because if I have any problems, all I'll need to do is turn to page 329. Unfortunately somebody must have ripped the chapter on "Leonard MacDonald" out of our copy when nobody was looking.
Never seen a betetr post! ICOCBW

Hi guys. I've been enjoying your story on CBC news and have loved log cabins, since emigrating from England. Your home looks gorgeous and solid! The snapshots are priceless. It's cool how you used the old junker. Hope you play instruments, considering where you've settled! Folk are lovely here and I'm not surprised how they've helped you. Thank you for sharing your experience. Katie
Finally! This is just what I was lokonig for.
